Colleen completed her B.Proc degree at the University of the Western Cape in 1998 and upon completion of her articles, she was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa during February 2001.  Colleen is an admitted Conveyancer and Notary Public, with vast experience in conveyancing, property law, notarial services, commercial law and commercial litigation, and has been practicing as an attorney for 17 years, post-admission.  She has rendered legal services for various state-owned entities, local and provincial government, property investment companies, pension funds and private sector (listed and unlisted) companies.

Colleen has experience in legislative commentary and training and has conducted legal seminars on –

  • Presentation: Prevention of Illegal Eviction and Unlawful Occupation of Land Act and Proposed Amendment Bill
  • Presentation: Buying and selling Commercial Property; Land Use


LLB || Admitted Attorney


Mninawa Bangilizwe qualified from the University of Natal with LLB in 1998 and became a legal advisor for Sithole Inc, a firm of Chartered accountants. Mninawa then served his articles with Van der Merwe Ferreira Van Wyk Attorneys in Pretoria and was admitted in the High Court of South Africa during 2007. After being admitted by the Law Society of South Africa, he practiced as a Professional Assistant at VFV Mseleku Attorneys. In 2008 Mninawa then became The Group Head for Legal Services at Khumbula Investment Holdings also acting as the Company Secretary up until 2010.

In 2011 Mninawa founded TaBa Construction and was a Director up until 2018.

In 2018 Mninawa joined Smith Bekwa Attorneys as a Director and has extensive experience in the practice areas of commercial law, corporate governance, construction law and commercial litigation.


B.A (Social Work) || LLB || Admitted Attorney

Felicia graduated with a B.A Social Work and LLB from the University of the Western Cape and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa during February 2002.  Felicia has 16 years’ post-admission experience and specialises in employment law and legislative and regulatory review, with vast experience in all aspects of employment law, including chairing disciplinary enquiries and providing HR/ labour input to clients on corporate restructuring.

Misa is an associate in our firm. She obtained her LLB from the Walter Sisulu University and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa Gauteng Division: Pretoria during September 2017. Misa’s areas of expertise include debt collection, commercial and civil litigation.

In 2018, Cayle graduated with a LLB from the University of Johannesburg. Having worked previously at a large Commercial Company as a Legal Advisor Assistant, he gained extensive experience in regulatory risk and risk assessment, legal research in commercial and business law, drafting of agreements and administrative duties. his passion for commercial law is evident as he is studying towards an LLM in Commercial Law at the University of Johannesburg. He is currently serving his articles with Smith Bekwa Inc.

Amukelani completed his LLB degree from the University of South Africa and holds a B-Tech in Business Administration and a Diploma in Information Technology from the Tshwane University of Technology.  Amukelani has worked as a legal assistant and a procurement administrator since 2008 up to June 2018 during which period he gained valuable experience in conveyancing, research and legal administrative work as assistant to the legal advisor and General Manager: Legal.  Amukelani is currently serving his articles with Smith Bekwa Inc.
